The Good People: Know Our Stories, Know Us An exhibition at The Grey Roots Museum. The Anishinabe people lived in harmony with the natural world around them. They studied the animals, birds, and insects to understand the lessons of life made by all the creatures around them. These lessons, now stories are passed down from generation to generation by great story tellers and Elder Basil Johnston is one of the best. The characters from these stories have been interpreted by Donald Chrétien and are part of the Grey Roots exhibition. Click here for a PDF of Doodems with their meanings.
