The impact of Aboriginal artist Donald Chrétien springs from his passion for colour and woodland-style expression.
This exploration of heritage has him concentrating on the Ojibwe clans and culture.
For the Vancouver Olympics, Chrétien created an installation piece, titled: Ngashi Nijii Bineshiinh or Mother, Friend, Small Bird, and his art is on display at Owen Sound’s Grey Roots Museum and relates the history of the Anishinaabe.
